Acne

Acne is an inflammation of the sebaceous (oil) glands just beneath the surface of the skin, causing pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, and, in extreme cases, infected cysts and scarred skin. Acne is a disorder that sets in puberty. Cases may be brief and mild or chronic and severe, but, in one form or another, acne affects as many as 80 percent of all teenagers. Areas most frequently affected are the face, shoulders, chest, and back.

What cause acne especially for young people? When adolescence begins, glandular activity increases. The sebaceous glands secretes a greater amount of the oil that lubricates the skin. This excessive oil, called sebum (the oily substance secreted by the sebaceous glands in the skin), clogs the pores, causing them to dilate which increases the likelihood of further infection.

If the sebum seeps under the surface of the skin instead of coming out to the surface, the surrounding tissue is irritated, and a cyst is formed.

This is exactly what happened to my daughter. Me and my husband are already worried with her face. She already felt insecure and upset of her appearance if she goes to school and I was afraid that if the cyst will spread in her face, it will not be curable anymore. Her emotional upset might even more aggravate her condition.

I opt to natural remedy although she was approached by a dermatologist for treatment. I am just worried of the possible chemical reactions to her skin. Patience of applying the Coco-Moringa Herbal Mix oil was a success.

For young people specially teenagers, avoid eating too much chocolates, nuts (including peanut butter), fatty and fried foods, sea-foods, spicy foods, cola and other sugar-rich drinks, and too much whole milk (skim milk is preferable). Sugary foods should also be kept to a minimum; cakes, pastry, pie, and alcoholic drinks should be eliminated.
