The study of Science has the most broad definition because it covers a large number and wide scope of subjects, the behaviour of the physical and natural world through an observation and experiment.
Different branches of science have its own scientists that fall under every category. To name a few: Agronomists, Astronomers, Geographers, Geologists, Meteorologists, Physicist, Seismologists, and Marine Biologists. Still a lot more.
Without these scientists, who carefully and intellectually study the movements and things around us in this physical world, inventions and discoveries should not have been made possible.
Sometimes, for an ordinary person like me, its hard to think how these intellectual beings have that extra ordinary brain to be able to find out the formulas to get a result of their study. They have extra ordinary God given talents that is difficult to explain. Sadly, however, some scientists do not believe in the existence of God who created this vast Universe.
Whatever it is, I will leave that subject. Their belief is their belief. What's important is to recognize their achievements for man to know all things in this physical world.
